What Bush Doesn't Know

Bob Herbert's NYT Op/Ed piece this morning is titled, What Bush Doesn't Know. And his main point is that President Bush doesn't know the war in Iraq has not made the US safer. Which, of course, is true. But Bob Herbert's view is too narrow. President George W. Bush doesn't know anything. And given the President's limited intelligence and narcissism, that not only is the way he likes it, that's the way it has to be. George W. Bush is the most ignorant man in the world. Bush brags he doesn't read newspapers. He brags he can't think of any mistakes he has made. He brags he won't change his mind. He brags he believes God intended him to be president. Is it any wonder that the men who actually run the world wanted George W. Bush to be President of the United States? He's a dream come true. The most ignorant, gullible, ego-driven, delusional, obstinate man in the world is willing to do and say whatever his minders tell him to do and say as long as they let him pretend to be King. And I would bet you that George W. Bush really doesn't know about Karl Rove's and Scooter Libby's involvement in the Blame Plame Game. And that's not the worst of it. Prez Bush doesn't know or care that 1,777 US soldiers have died in the war he started in Iraq so he could feel like a man. Prez Bush could not explain the privatization of Social Security if his soul depended on it. Prez Bush doesn't know and doesn't care that Japan and China own the US because they have bought billions of dollars of US bonds. He doesn't know or care that we are in peril because China is threatening not to buy any more of our debt. And why would Bush know anything? He knows only what Karl Rove tells him. And that's only enough to make him get up in the morning and continue to play King. What George W. Bush doesn't know and doesn't want to know could fill a book. And oh you betcha! It will fill any number of books, to his eternal shame.
