1,365 American Soldiers Have Died in Iraq

What with the MSM giving us round-the-clock coverage of tsunami dead, the coverage of the war in Iraq has gone begging. But the only real data we need to know about Iraq is that 1,365 American soldiers have needlessly died in George Bush’s unnecessary war. While our guys die, the Bushmaton is gloating over his narrow-squeak election and is spending $40 mil for inauguration parties for himself. And he continues to misspeak, leaving it to Dan Bartlett (Bush’s consigliere) to pick up the pieces. In an interview with The Washington Post published yesterday, Bush said many senators did not see the need for a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage because a law known as the Defense of Marriage Act was in place. Bartlett had to quickly explain Bush’s gaffe on Sunday morning news shows, saying that Bush was referring to “the reality of legislative vote counting and was not suggesting that his support for the amendment had diminished”. In the same WashPost interview Bush bragged that “the American people listened to different assessments made about what was taking place in Iraq, and they looked at the two candidates, and they chose me”. He said the public’s decision to reelect him was a ratification of his approach toward Iraq and that there was no reason to hold any administration officials accountable for mistakes or misjudgments in prewar planning or managing the violent aftermath. And there you have it. George W. Bush is never wrong, never makes mistakes, never reflects. He gloats, he brags and he makes merry. And he maintains he was "re-elected" when in fact the Supreme Court appointed him President in 2000. But there is one fact that cannot be spun or managed or made less true or more easy to hear...1,365 American soldiers have died fighting this buffoon’s unnecessary war in Iraq.
